Appearace: 6'1, in shape, blonde hair, and almost always wearing a suit.

History: Barney's early life is something that he would consider... boring, so he doesn't try to go over it hardly ever if at all. The high points include his mother telling him that his father was Bob Barker, and explaining that his brother had brown skin because she ate chocolate ice cream and he was white because she ate vanilla ice cream. Think having a sluty mom with horrible parenting skills rasing two children from two different fathers, and you'll get the jist of his childhood.

However, Barney would grow into the immoral manwhore he is today at the age of 18. He was preparing to go off to the Peace Corps with the love of his life "Shannon", however the day before they were scheduled to leave together, he found out that Shannon decided to leave him for a womanizing older man, stating that Barney was too much of a wimp for her. Devistated, Barney turned to his brother for help, and found himself sleeping with one of his mother's friends, a woman affectionately known as the "manmaker". Immediately afterwords, Barney turned himself into a suit wearing, catchphrase spouting, immoral womanizer.

From here on, Barney would go on to meet his longtime friend Ted Mosby at McClarins, a bar in New York City. He would take out Ted to be his wingman, using the most absurd means to get women to sleep with him, and surprisingly enough, he was good at it. Actually, he was almost perfect at what he did. As the years passed, he would grow closer with Ted, and his roommates Marshall and Lilly.

The group of four would continue to visit McClarins for years on end, being almost a Cheers-esque place for them. Barney continued to sleep with every woman he could find, and he would sometimes even try to help Ted find a woman for himself. Barney begain to feel a little left out however when Marshall and Lilly got engaged, and Ted started seriously dating women in an attempt to find the perfect woman for him.

Just before he disappeared for the hotel however, Barney had his confidence destroyed, after finding out that the woman who he lost his virginity to, had actually lied when she said he was the "best she'd ever had" and that he'd "rocked her world". Devistated once again, Barney lost all sembelance of anything that represented "game", and only had his confidence restored after (thanks to the advice of supermodel Heidi Klum) he went back to find the manmaker, and proceeded to give her the best night of her life.
